How is claims support in HDFC Ergo Liability Policy? All insurers provide 24 x 7 claims support that means one can initiate the claims process at any time during the day. One can do so by simply contacting the insurance provider via their toll free number/ claims support number. Some insurance providers also support online tracking of claims. HDFC Ergo Liability Policy does not provide status of claims online. Similarly, online tracking of claim status is not supported by Royal Sundaram Two Wheeler Insurance.
HDFC Ergo and Royal Sundaram claims support may also include garage facilities like cashless network garage repairs and garage cash. In cashless garages, one can simply take his vehicle to a network garage and get it repaired without paying any cash. Bill of the repairs is directly settled by the insurance provider. Cashless garage network support is provided in HDFC Ergo Liability Policy. Also insurance provider of 2nd plan provides this facility. One other feature that may be provided is Garage Cash. If this feature is available, the insurer provides compensation for the money lost in commutation if your vehicle stays in the garage for a specified period of time.
Documents required for claims depend on the type of claim. Theft claims usually require a copy of police report, copy of driving license, RC copy of vehicle, etc. Third party claims also require similar documents. Accidental claim usually require claim form, original repair invoice, payment receipt, police report, etc. Documents are to submitted in the office of the insurance company.
